We work with shipping companies around the world to help them meet their statutory obligations for the five yearly testing and annual inspections of their lifting equipment. We also include Means of Access and Height Safety Systems in our scope of work for many clients.
AM Defence & Marine engineers are equipped with compact tooling to travel worldwide. Inspection and testing is carried out whilst ships are in service to eliminate disruption during refit when most of the equipment is in use.
At the end of each visit the ship receives a signed copy of LEMS, our Lifting Equipment Management system which is used by customers worldwide to keep track of item status and certificates.
We offer new supply of lifting equipment as well as repair and refurbishment in addition to providing a range of Training Courses including Working at Height and Safe use of Lifting Equipment which complement our engineering services.
Lloyds Accreditation and LEEA Membership
We work to the highest possible standards and are proud to be accredited by Lloyds. We are also founder members of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) – an international body recognised for their expertise in the inspection, testing and maintenance of lifting equipment. The LEEA ensures all our engineers are trained to the highest technical and safety standards. All our engineers have LEEA qualifications relevant to the various categories of lifting plant.
